I'm looking to trade in my Beretta Nano as I've bought another concealed carry gun. Two dealers around town both said they give roughly 40% of new value. Mind you, this gun is darn near brand new and shot under 100 rounds. I've never traded in a gun before, but thought they'd hold value better than that. Is this typical or should I keep looking around?

That's probably a bit on the high side. They'll probably ask for 60% of new value but probably take the first 55% cash offer. Hope this helps.

Typically dealers pay 50% of orig value, private party 80%. Over time it will go up in value. Sell it to a private party. Msg me, I might be interested. Hopefully that comment doesn't violate this sites rules?
