Nice old Chris Craft, but not 50 feet.

The two most important things these survivors did was put on their life-jackets and accurately relay their position to rescue authorities,” said Lieutenant Junior Grade Jeremiah Schiessel.

Buddy that runs a charter came by that boat yesterday seen it says it looked to be a 40 footer . But no one aboard that they could see, called coast guard and was told everyone was rescued

It was still floating today at 3pm. It is southwest of 1&2 and southwest of the fingers. I marked it on my gps but I'm 50 miles from my boat or I'd post its location.

Wondering why the deck is brown? Have a funny feeling they scuttled the boat for the insurance $$.

It was a wooden teak deck. Not sure I'd risk sinking my family with the boat.

Seems like a hazard leaving it semi afloat for another boat to run into?

You would think the coasties would strap a bouy or something to it until it went down

I wonder why the anchor rope is over the railing? Must be a good railing!
Heard on the news that a crew was going out to rescue the boot and bring it back in to the river. That would cost a bit and seems like a big job.

No cost at all for coastguard to bring you or your vessel in....Most cases they won't bring in the boat, and will have you try and find a way to get it recovered. In this case I'm guessing it was a hazzard to others as to why they went back for it and couldn't finish due to conditions? Last I heard "Tow boat". Brought it in, or atleast was attempting to.
