Wanted to scout all over the Bay today to give my ice-flight supporters somewhere to fish this weekend but wind did not play nice. Bilge pumps got a good workout today. Found some fish on the south end of the Bay, started smacking them in the morning before wind got really bad, they were deep and we had to chase em with snap weights down to 20', as you can see on sonar and down imaging below. Around lunch the wind kicked up a few more knots and the fish rose a few feet, enough to give us some passes with zero fish, we were fishing our old setbacks at 20' and we were below most of the fish as you can see here. By the time we figured out a new pattern, it was getting lil bumpy so we headed back to DNR launch at a blistering 12mph.
Party, why didn't you turn down your sensitivity on your Sonar? I usually try to get rid of most of the false humps.

I hear you then. I have been there.....have to slow down to 7 mph so I can actually hit the buttons I want to hit.
Thank you Marty. A buddy and I are headed to either Linwood or Pinconning tomorrow AM to drag some boards. Weather looks good enough to drive from W side and hoping to bring home a couple meals of eater size fish.
Sent you a message to hopefully give you a little head start. Sent from my iPhone using Michigan Sportsman

Was out yesterday water temp showed 37-38 degrees. Picked up 5 nice eyes and a 34" 11 lb 4 oz lake trout. Lost one big fish but only caught a glimpse, don't know what it was...
