Headed to Goulais River and Batchawana near Memorial weekend. Any tips and what and how to target
Are you bringing a boat? Lots of streams in the area if you're on foot.
Did you use Corey's guide service when you were up there? I heard he uses the barter system but I can't get him to return my calls.
I have fished virtually every stream north of the Sault that crosses the highway (from the Sault to Batchawana Bay), bounced around Chippewa River system a little, floated Goulais River from Searchmont to the Bay, whip casted & trolled the bay, I know a thing or two about a thing or two, but not much more than that. He's talking about a wide variety of options from catching smelt all the way to muskie and anything in between.
A boat is helpful, but not necessary. Need more details.
All on foot.
