    One set of tracks from the Border Patrol. But seen some one way tracks in snow, think some Canadians may have escaped.

    It was a rotten banana today, not worth the walk. Lots of slush on ice. only 8 little perch no nice fish caught.

    Might not be safe ice in 3 weeks, hope there is though. Been a tough week fishing and not from lack of trying hard.

    The first time I fished there, we had to cross 18” of open water along the shore.
    Once on the ice, we were drilling through 20”+ of ice.
    It was hog snatchin’ on huge jumbos!!!!

    Sure has been off and on the last couple years there. Winter of 17 I went twice I think. Did well both times. 2016 was really good with a couple limits. This year started pretty good and fizzled out.

    I agree they could come in heavy when the shore line starts to give out. Might have to just wear waders instead of bibs lol

    its a bad enough walk in the summer in shorts and tennis shoes - cant imagine carhartts or waders.......i do know a guy who tried to ride his bike once tho......lol Didnt work out so well for him :cool::rolleyes:

    Last time I was out there was a 73 yr old man riding out on a bike and the dike wall was soft.

    He might still be out there if it was 1/2 as bad as when “some idiot” tried to ride out there several years ago.

    maybe! But he ain't complaining several years later. Just had to sneak that in there lol. I tell you what... I about didn't make it back when the older gentleman was just heading out. I was really glad he stopped to talk. Gave me an excuse to rest.
