Any reports from the Banana dyke out there? Do not necessarily need to know if you guys are slamming fish but would like an ice conditions (thickness, any bad spots) report before I make the trek all the way out there.

    Thanks in advance!

Looks like you might be the first to report on the ice out there.
Good luck and take a spud bar.

No spud required unless you're the italian stallion prepping for a fight with Mr T or the Russian.

Looks nice. I saw a lake trout 35” caught up north. Larger than the one you were pictured with that our common friend showed me.

Mine was not a lake trout. It was a splake. Biggest in at least the last 2 years reported to master angler, from a small lake. All the others are from great lakes or closely connected.

Nothing special. Had a huge tub of zatarains from Sams Club that I'm still using and I mixed in some bass pro shop hot n spicy for a little kick. I always do thin breadings. don't care for beer batter style stuff that holds oil and, IMO, hides the flavor of the fish. Man o man was that perch good!!!

That zatarans from Sam's is the wip. Try mixing with parmesan cheese.
