    Had a male and female try to feed off seed we just scatter on deck. They were here three days now gone. I haven't seen one since the 60's

    Put out an orange cut in half. With the juicy part up. Put it on the railing of the deck. I bet you 'll see another sooner than 50yrs.

    Put out a saucer with a couple spoons of grape jelly.

    Use an orange cup or an orange plastic coaster under that lil cup of jelly.

    They have been coming to the feeder for 3 weeks now. More this year than before.

    We have 4 pairs this year and are on the second jar of grape jelly. Boy do they fight. Funny thing is the little hummers chase them away from the rail where the jelly is. The 2 black hummers that are here sit on the porch rail which I have never seen before. Usually they sit on a limb in the tree

    I have heard here that they may go for the jelly. Can you get a picture of them? Do you see a green throat on them?
