Hey all I'm in the market for an upgrade from my old hand auger. I know I do not want to go with gas or propane. So that leaves drill option or lithium ion or the strikemaster. I do not work in the construction field and already own a black&Decker drill that does fine for the jobs I have around the house but will not work for drilling holes (tried last year). So that would mean I would be buying a drill, clam plate, and nills auger 6". After that purchase I would assume I would be spending $500 give or take which is roughly the same I would spend for electric auger. My question having not used either style drill or electric is does one hold up a charge in the cold better and does anyone have suggestions pros and cons I should take into consideration. I appreciate any input you all have!

I have a strike master lithium Lazer 10". Bought it last year and loved it the little I was able to use it last year. I seen the are throwing in a free battery with them this year.

I love my electric strike master. Had it for 5-6 years. 7”.
