I sure hope not! I'm excited to see how the harbor turns out! Atlantic's have already pushed into the au sable and other rivers.

Yesterday I threw some out but there weren't enough roaming salmon in the shallows to have it be worth even trying. Being that Atlantic's are closely related to brown trout, and they are a salmonid, they most likely would hit skein just as their cousins do.

You’re not missing much. It’s still really slow right now. Temps in the upper 30’s. Needs about another 10 degrees before things get going.

6C525A5D-5470-4F50-8588-D2FA0C513300.jpeg Couple weeks late, but caught an Atlantic in Tawas bay March 21. Fish was 20” and 3.05 pounds. No noticeable fin clips, but saved the head anyway and will drop it off next time I’m near a DNR Freezer. Stomach contents were empty, but fish was healthy and fiesty.

The adipose fin is clearly, and cleanly missing lol. Good job dropping the head off anyways!
