Some of the biggest deer I have ever seen are in areas you cannot hunt them
Coworker sent me videos of 130”+ in Bloomfield Hills last year

Who says we don't have big bucks in MI. ?
Yep there are some GIANTS in towns all over the state
Couple years ago there was a big story about how some guy in Berrien County shot a monster urban buck, that had just recently been featured in the local paper in someone's backyard https://archive.is/pxG7f
Looks like time for an urban hunt.

Makes total sense to me. If nobody can hunt them they will grow old.
Right, who needs state land, lol?
I definitely am. About 450 miles straight west would be awesome!

My wife sends me pictures of this buck and his fam while I'm in the field seeing nothing. Over the years he has eaten out of our bird feeders, walked around back and had a few tomatoes from the garden. He even followed my wife and friends home from the bar once. The first time I saw him was early one morning Im sitting having coffee on the deck when he comes walkin down the middle of Central like he owned it. He was a 6pt then and I was choking on hot coffee.
A few years back, 10 or 12, the biggest deer scored in Mi, 190+, was taken by a car on Middlebelt in Bloomfield Hills if I remember correctly.
We walked by the Ferndale High School last night and I stopped and gave a snort wheeze into the woods where the buck in the OP lives. (1 mile west of 8 Mile and Woodward...300 yds North of 8Mile) 45 seconds later this bruiser walks out of the woods on a string right to me and stopped at 40 yards. He is bigger than the 10 in the post from above. The only reason he stopped was because my wife had the dog with us and he was moving too much. These guys will die of old age eating out of backyard gardens. LOL
How is it possible they get big. Michigan doesnt have the right...nutrition..genetics..no nutrients in the ground. But the number one thing is AGE. Cool to watch them
I cant stop looking at those brows!!
