Think these will be killer for eyes! Saginaw and erie if it ever freezes up again! Front hook would need changed out! The rattles could definitely trigger bites in dirty water

Unless you make them yourself ,fishing lures are designed to catch fishermen not fish!!

I would say 95% of fisherman don't make their own lures. I would also say that color catches more fisherman then type of bait. Can you show us some of your baits you've made?

I do both, however the "color doesn't matter" statement is DEAD, DEAD WRONG...
That bait (in capable hands) should be money, ice or open water.
I've whacked more than a few eyes with the cheapest lure Rapala has available in it's lineup....

Why carry a separate insurance rider on baits if color didn't matter?
    LOL!!!!

My only disappointment is from what I understand they only come in one size,1/2oz and cost almost $10...

They way I see it is I have no problem spending that on a case of beer or a meal! If using icefishing you should have it for awhile! I have lots of pimples raps and do jiggers that are old! And have caught a ton of fish. $10 isn't that crazy in the big scheme of things. Think of it this way... it's a investment for a bunch of future meals!

    One seriously under utilized lure.
I have caught everything from Bluegill to Musky on these.

??? Personal preference I take it? Rapala along with many others spend countless hours testing with endless adjustments during trial n error before a product even hits the market. Must work as is, is my guess.

That style hook seems to get fouled up when jigging more aggressive. Most guys i know along with myself switch it out for a treble

Wish they made a smaller size. They looked good when I saw them in the store.

I'm a huge Rapala fan anyway

Would think if it fouled up so much they would of added a three barbed treble instead of a 2 barb style hook. With the 2 barb up front without the 3rd barb facing forward would snag less. Sorta sucks buying lures for top dollar and then change out the hooks. I use alot of different style lipless cranks jigging and casting, fouling cause of front hook has Never been a issue. To each their own. Will be tryin these this winter jiggin. I am also a big Rapala fan and never changed out their hooks unless bent/mangled from fish.

Same style of hooks used on the Cicada jigging lure.

Yep and if you've vertical jigged those you know those front hook foul up quite a bit. When casting not as much as vertical.
