I've carried State Farm for over 12 years. Just dropped and switched to Progressive last month, my mom works for SF. She even said if she didn't work for them she wouldn't have their insurance. Their rates are insane.

Idk if it's an option, but shop around.

Wayyyy cheaper if you go direct and not through an Agent. Maybe that's why.

I salivate if someone calls me with State Farm. You really can't beat Progressive for toys. I wouldn't write my auto or home with them but they can't be beat on toys. I have my SxS with American Modern. It was $91 for the year for $6k in coverage on a 2009 Yamaha Rhino. If an agent carries Citizens, they carry AMM. They have an agreement and use them as their specialty lines carrier.

I agree. My home is still through SF, basically for convenience and because of my escrow account that I didn't wanna deal with the bank a new insurance company getting paid and blah blah.

When I still had my Harley, Progressive was by far the cheapest. Reason I went through them for autos was because my wife always had them. So we combined all 3 vehicles with full coverage and cheap deductibles for over $100 less a month than I was paying on just 2 of the vehicles. It was a no brainer.

Yep. Always shop around. Every year a different carrier will be more competitive in a certain area than they have in the past. It's almost as if they're colluding. I've been doing it for almost 20yrs and it seems big national carriers, AAA, Allstate, and State Farm's rates are getting higher and higher in SE MI. PIP losses have really caught up with them.

If your title says what ever year assembled vehicle when you go to put insurance on it just don't elaborate as to what it is.It's an assembled vehicle and that's it.

Well I wasn't in love with the tank.A guy I know that builds custom Harleys made me an offer I couldn't refuse for the tank.Put it this way he offered me twice of what I had into the whole bike plus the jap tank which actually fit my frame better.;)
