Those big canvas saddle bags you would tie to your bike so you carry all the papers for your route.
I can handle the heat down your way and even bugs and snakes......... it’s the HUMIDITY I can’t stand!!!
Lots of good fishing down south though.
I’d be tempted to head down your way to fish this time of year.
Yes!!!!! The HUMIDITY is awful! So I don't go outside much in the summer.
I just wish I was in better physical shape so I could take advantage of the great fishing.
Maybe it’s not a possibility but do you ever consider moving back north because of the heat and humidity?
Anybody go down to the Michigan State Fair Grounds Detroit during Outdoorama to wrestle Victor the Bear?
No, but I watched him elsewhere..
They said to bring a change of cloths if you were going to wrestle him.
Or should I say ,if you were going to try to wrestle him. Only watched one guy out of a few get far for a few seconds and the bear just seemed annoyed ,reached back with an arm and swept the guy under him and squished him enough to call uncle.
Red faced guys from effort ,bored bear.
I'll bet I could have pinned Twiggy the water skiing squirrel though! Maybe.
I would love to move back north and it would be possible except - my severe arthritis doesn't like the cold so I would have more pain if I did that. At least down here I am almost pain free most of the time. Thanks for the suggestion any way.
Having chicken Pox, measles, and mumps as a normal thing growing up. Scared a getting polio. Having older relatives that had gotten, TB, scarlet fever, diphtheria, whooping cough, small pox.
And you could watch the Heavyweight Championship of the World on Wide World of Sports with Howard Cosell calling the fight and it didn't cost $69.95 PPV on top of the $100.00 plus per month for the cable package.
Live boxing on the radio, no charge.
When or where is the last time any of you saw a telephone booth or a pay phone anywhere?
I’ve seen a few pay phones in a couple small towns in Ohio up till about 7-8 years ago but I can’t recall any since then.
Last phone booth I saw was in Wisconsin in 2007. Near Spread Eagle I believe. But the phones themselves are still around. Some gas stations have them I know.
I’ve been there.
Stayed at Larsen’s resort on the Menominee and really enjoyed it.
If I recall, the area I fished was called Bad Waters on the Menominee. Beautiful area.
Have you ever fished that area ?
I thought I seen one of them pay phones at wal-mart
Yeah, didnt do too bad, holding my own right up until the point that the trainer broke out that ice cream cone, a drumstick if I am remembering correctly. After that it was all over .
