Anyone from Michigan-Sportsman Forum is more than welcome to attend "Camp Crawdad". This started out as an outing/Meet-N-Greet several years ago. The boil will be Saturday June 23rd, everyone is more than welcome to camp with us throughout the weekend. Please bring a dish to pass. The main course is Crayfish which most of us spend all weekend trapping/catching. If you've never had Crayfish or interested in trapping this would be the weekend to mark on your calendar and not miss! GREAT group of people, excellent food and good times to be had. This is a friends/family event we look forward to seeing everyone!

When: Boil is on June 23rd, feel free to spend the weekend!

Where: Reedsburg Dam State Forest Campground

We'll be there on Thursday. Hopefully the storms miss us this year and high water isn't a problem!

I used to play in the creek nearly every day as a kid. Caught a lot of crawfish and let them go. Had never heard of eating them back then. I did chase my sister with them though.

I see the campground is first come/first serve. Has there ever been any trouble getting a campsite?

We have always been able to get sites. In the past, if you did not get there a few days early, you would have to camp away from the MS crowd. That is one of the reasons we moved it away from the 4th of July weekends. The camp has become more popular in recent years. Being that it is on June 23rd, we should have no problems getting sites close to the boil.
