Kicking around idea of trolling bay for first time tomorrow. Wind looks a little gusty but out of south and west? Was thinking launch at mouth let wind push us out? I don’t need consistent 3-4’ in my 1775 side console impact. Could hit river if too sporty but really wanna try bay. Any opinions from you bay regulars is appreciated.
Gonna be fine in am regardless. Probably 2-3' where the walleye are at. Wind is out of a good direction so you'll be fine. Trolling with waves makes them seem smaller till you turn I'd launch at 7 so you're setting boards at day break. Looks like might be choppy by 1 but then calming back down. Good luck. It’ll be bumpy maybe try first thing in morning but Looks like you be in 3+footers by 10am only getting stronger as the day wears on. Good luck
I’d launch somewhere other than Patterson. It was a zoo today. Lots of rigs blocked in by dips&$-:s Sent from my iPhone using Michigan Sportsman mobile app
And why the duck hunters have to power up their 1.21 jigawat floodlights and blind everyone else at the launch is also irritating Sent from my iPhone using Michigan Sportsman mobile app
If it's your first time I would pick a better day. Gonna be bumpy, and fishing was slow anyways today.
One thing to remember for the guys who don't usually fish in the fall...... Just because you see a boat don't assume they are fishing, there's a lot of duck hunters using a regular looking boat out there. They'll have a float boat not too far away and they are hard to see Also, the nets are still out, they are on the north end of the Black Hole Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
