    Turnip Rock is very cool. We took a boat up in and went swimming and climbling on the rocks. I know there is also tour boats available.

    Additionally, they changed the recipe. This new stuff doesn't burn as hot or long. :( When buying Kingsford, I've been trying our the professional grade, when i can find it. But it's definitely pricier than regular.

    I have a neighbor who swears by chain link fence. Even running quads on it. Never tried it myself.

    In past years we had used Northern Skies for an annual snowgoose hunt. Although we never crane hunted with them, i would definitely recommend them as an outfitter. Last i knew they hunted eastern texas for cranes. Good Luck! I always wanted to hunt those.

    Yes. Buy a good set of chains. i fished with a guy that ran an old honda 300 2wd. He ran it for years, for about 10 years i was running a polaris 500 4wd with chains and if he got stuck, i probably was going to get stuck too. Lately we don't get anywhere near the snow fall.

    Those butts take a while. Do them in advance, shred and refrigerate. Then re-heat that day.
