Unusual suff you've found in the woods

I'm sitting in a tree right now and the thought of weird stuff I have found over the years entered my mind, and curious what kind of weird or unusual stuff you guys have stumbled across while afield.

1. A couple weeks ago I was walking an area looking for a stand site and stumbled across 2 totally different arrows right next to each other along with a compound bow release, an arm guard and a full 12oz Budweiser. No tips in the arrows, just empty inserts. Based on the faded Bud can, it had all been there for a couple years. The arrows were different brands, lengths, diameters, etc.

2. About 10 years ago we were bird hunting a huge tract of public land up north. I looked down and found a mint condition $1 bill in the leaves, right at my feet. We were about a mile from the nearest road and close to 1/2 mile from the truck. Looked around for more but that was it.

3. Morel picking about 5 years ago after the "green up" I stumbled across a cell phone, also right at my feet. This was a solid 1/2 mile into the woods. It still had a charge on it. Threw it in my backpack and figured I'd worry about it later. Ended up ringing sometime later and I made arrangements to get it back to the owner. Upon meeting with the owner, an older "crazy" lady, she accused me of breaking into her house and stealing her phone despite admitting she had been in the woods walking the day before and that was the last time she had her phone. I thought she was kidding but she was quite serious and intent on exact details of where I had found her phone. Basically told her to pound sand and I left.

So what gems have you stumbled across out there?

Over the years I have found a couple of knifes and an axe head which had been grown over, had the tree die and rot away leaving the axe exposed. Another time I found a shed. The unusual thing was it was just a shell of the outside of it, the rest had been eaten by rodents. The only shed I have ever found it was the right side of an eight pointer.

I also have found a couple of antique traps long forgotten. One was so old it was rusted open and wouldn`t go off when I tried to set it off. Just so no one jumps to conclusions I am a trapper and can tell when a trap is in use or not.

Not an old thin but found a 5 gallon bucket flipped over on the top of a broke of tree at least 20 ft up. Wayyy back in. It was puzzling. Found a guy sitting there drinking coffee a mile in one time while grouse hunting. Said he was deer scouting then asked when gun season opened this year I said 15th he said o they changed it.. think he was guarding something else.

About 22 ears ago, I found a hatchet stuck in a tree next to a trail. The head was rusty, handle weathered, I left it there.

About 20 years ago, we were paddling across Crooked Lake in the Sylvania Wilderness Area. I saw a can floating in the water and when I pulled it out, it was still sealed. I couldn't read the label, worn off, just an aluminum can. The top was readable, different material, Papst Blue Ribbon. It was a pull tab can. Yes, pull off and throw away tab. I hadn't seen one of them in many years. I kept it on a shelf in the kitchen for a few years until it started to leak.

Wow, several things come to mind.. Found a Marlin 30-30 one time leaning against a tree, and brought it to the sheriffs dept. They gave the guy who retrieved it my name and he tried to give me a reward.. I found a very expensive limited edition zippo lighter sitting on a large rock next to nameless stream in Presque Isle county once it still lit.. I found a double bitted axe buried in a tree so long that the handle was all but gone and over the years that oak swallowed that axe head.. I found a gutted buck that looked as though someone had abandoned as it had a clear set of drag marks in the fresh falling snow and tracks leading away. It was still there a week later like the guy had walked off and left it. It still had the tag attached.. Not sure what that was about.. I think in the falling snow he lost track of it... Found a hermit living in a van in the middle of a huge swamp the van was on Federal property right next to property he actually owned (I haven't an idea how he got that van there as there were no roads within 1/4 mile)... That was 30+ years ago the hermit is long dead and the van is still there...

I'm not sure what to make of this. Found it near where I stumbled across the arrows and release I mentioned in the original post but farther away from the road. It appears to be tied up in the tree with blue rope. View attachment 594753 View attachment 594755
When archery hunting was in it's infancy you would see a portion of a tire put up high in the tree and left on state land. These were used for sitting on bow hunting. I think the state actually put these up.

Years ago, stumbled through an old homestead on CFR land, easily several miles back in off of any current road. Not much left of the foundation, and the flag pole still stood proudly in what I guess would have been the front yard.

But what was kind of neat, was the straight row of 3 huge oak trees planted nearby... each girdled and bulging near their base from a tire around them.

Made me wonder how old they were... and made me appreciate just how much must have changed back there since they were planted a few generations (?) ago.

During my beaver trapping days I came across this homemade boat about a 1/2 mile in from the nearest road on State land. Maybe some of you may recognize what cars the hoods came from and notice the builders even added a transom!

When my boys were young and we would walk the creek trapping they would look for beaver cuttings where the beavers would strip the bark off sticks while eating on the shore. They would collect an armload of "beaver sticks" along the walk. Kinda gives the term a whole new meaning to me now. Maybe i should have been examining their beaver sticks more closely.
It was probably a mushroom hunting stick, with a mushroom tip.

Found a "big bootie hoes" porno mag while asparagus picking, which is odd cause I thought I put it back under my bed after I was done with it... lol jk wasn't mine but it did have a DVD in it which I watched

Last year coming back from hunting we found a big glass bong in the middle of the road. Tossed it into the ditch, still would like to know the story there.

Not the woods but found a sweet old zippo in my 1979 boat, prob my best find.

I once found a junkie village back in a small meadow near a railroad track in Island Lake. There were 3 ratty tents set up and pill bottles laying all over the place. I got the heck out of there as fast as I could. My guess is they were riding the rails or walking the tracks from town to town.

1995 I found a film canister on the side of a two track walking to my stand. Not wanting to leave litter, I picked it up. It was full of weed. Being 15, I happened to have some paper and a lighter with me. Didn't even bother climbing into the tree stand that afternoon.

A couple years ago I was riding mountain bike at a public rec area in mid September. It was the middle of the day middle of the week, nice weather. Didn't appear to be many people out. Find the proverbial pink dildo. And then on the other side of the next climb was the owners videoing their "adventures" outside. They didn't ask if I wanted to join but did thank me for telling them the location of their lost goods.

Those are the only two memorable ones.

I have found marijuana growing in the woods while hunting many times. I found a couple plants this year on the new 40 I bought. As of yesterday they are still there but wilted down now from the frost and snow. Just male plants, so I'm thinking someone already took out the females.
