This may have been discussed recently. I use a 12 volt trolling motor. Use one battery till it dies then switch to a charged one. Hardly ever necessary but is there any benefit to hooking both batteries parallel?
Can almost double the run time without the hassle of switching while fishing, but make sure both batteries are the same "vintage" because an older weaker battery will drain the stronger battery down and shorten the life. If planning of running parallel, you should buy both batteries at the same time and same brand.
A lot of work switching batteries draining em till they die. Just upgrade motor and run a 24v system. Either way u still have 2 batteries so why have to deal with that in a drift. Don’t be there dead in the water in the middle of a drift trying to switch over playing bumper boats
Never discharge a battery until it dies, unless you REALLY like spending money on batteries. There are few things worse for a battery than too deep a discharge. It's as bad as not charging them correctly.
