Took 2 buddies this morning one of which was skeptical of what we did on wedn. Started right about 7am and was done with a 3 man limit by 8:17am. We had 17 in the box when 2 of us got the 18 and 19th fish. Had a few throwbacks also. Mostly small fish today. Only 2 over 15". Rest were 13 1/2 to 14-15". Same drift as wedn. Even had one triple header and a couple of doubles.
Played C&R for another hour, back at ramp at 9:15.
Going for bass will get you plenty of walleye as well. I went solo for bass today & caught 10 walleye 14"-20" & lost a few as well. The walleye were more aggressive than the bass were. Caught 3 on 3 straight casts in the late morning then in the afternoon caught 2 on back to back casts & 3 casts after those got another one. They were coming right to the surface to grab the bait right next to the boat.
Can't beat that. Last year one trip we finished a 3 man with a triple header !! We were racing to see who would get last 3 fish !
Last year every fish was 20"+ on that trip though.
Nice haul. This year is so much fun with all the eyes in the system. My friends keep asking to go to the bay to drag meat but I try to explain that I don't go till the jigging slows down.Going to be awhile. Thanks for the report's!
Got my wife out jigging on the river for the first time ever. Took her awhile but she got the hang of it.. Got our 2 person limit of good eater size fish (14-18") in just shy of 2 hrs.. I think she is hooked! Had a great morning...to bad its a 2 hr. drive. Fin s pepper shad tipped with 1/2 crawler. jig color didn't matter.
I agree with 15 inches also. Let them grow up a bit. Not much of a fillet on a 13 incher.
