Just got home about 20 mins ago, ended up with 66, fished for about 3 hours. Karlin side, 56 FOW, fish were most active from 25-35 feet down. Bite was best about 9, when most people were leaving. Could have done better if the drop light battery didn't die. Small glow halis and demon glows with waxies, ice seemed to still be pretty good, was able to open up old holes. Hoping to get back up on Tuesday.
Fished again Sunday night with a buddy, 6:30-1030, managed 158. Same program as Saturday night, in the same holes. Going to try to get up there tonight and see how the ice is holding up.
We have been planning a trip to green lake for this Friday for a year. Pumped to finally get on some green lake smelt. We are a bit discouraged about the warm weather this week. Anyone out there have any ice reports? How is it holding up?
Went up last night walked out about 100 yards, spud went thru with two hits, turned around and walked back in. I doubt there will be ice by tomorrow. What ice was there last night was really soft.
Hey Friends.... As a Captain of a local Fire/EMS agency, I beg you to please stay off this ice. We were requested to assist a dog that had gone through near the Karlin launch. Quote from the CO in regards to the submerged coup, "We'll get it later." Please don't risk your life, my life or anyone elses. Those fish will be there at a later date, its up to you to be sure you are too!
