First time looking for these. It looks like one but it really orange. Found it on some decaying oaks.

If it is one I found a good patch of them.

Not a Chanterelle. Chanterelles do not grow on wood and they have folds or veins instead of gills. They are also more yellow in color then the mushroom pictured. Take a look at WoodButchers and Rippinlipps Chanterelle pictures on another thread. Or I'll see if I have one somewhere. Right now I can't access my Photobucket Account for some reason. These are Cantharellus phasmatis, the Ghost Chanterelle.

Thanks mushroom jack. After looking at those pics it's obviously not one. Figured it could be that easy. Lol.

The color and the underside is what made me think it might be one. Ridges vs gills makes sense.

And for those who are worried about me I had 0 intention of eating this thing. Lol. I'm not crazy!!!
