tibbs - a question for you regarding crabapples - I have an order of 16 trees coming from coldstream should be in april. I tried 4 each of 4 types. trees will end up in north michigan but I may keep them close to home in Macomb county then move then up later. these will be 3-4' - how close would you plant them in a nursery setting at this size. I know the threads talk about 6-8 inches but thats smaller trees. would like to have them at 5-6' before moving to fields or would you plant them in field at 3-4' will be fencing regardless of size and only move once?

Those are nice results with the switch, i know my newly planted switch is growing very impressive, i wish i would have planted my 7 acre field with cave in rock, instead i planted a big/little bluestem and indiangrass mix which is on its second year, i hope it does alright for deer.
