Hey Scotty! When you jig on Holloway do you vertical jig with the trolling motor like in the st. Clair River, Anchor and cast or drift with jigs? If you like eyes you should think about hitting Port Huron just out from the Blue Water Bridge. The last couple weeks of October and first week of November can be fantastic!!!

I would guess you have a really HARD bottom.
Try setting your machine to "Salt (shallow)" Water Type on your sonar tab (Advanced if not in that mode already)
I only have issues when I am pretty much under 10' and on rock bottoms.
You can set the max depth just beyond what your bottom is and it won't look beyond that depth also...
You're running just the compact SI (supplied) XDCR right?
Some guys run an in-hull 2D XDCR for hi speed on a glass hull.

Hahah thats funny, Die hard eh...i've never even had the chance to fish with him on the ice....i gotta make that happen sometime soon. Just killed the crappies on my neighborhood lake yesterday, going out again, we still have some ice! Next winter hopefully we can hook up and get Uncle Tom out there on Fenton, I'll show him how to catch fish :) Take it easy.
