      Hello Chuck, I forgot to ask what speed do you think the pup will end up running ? Fast , medium or medium fast , what speed are the parents?

        I teally don't put a speed on my hounds. They run as fst as conditions allow. Running hare/cottontil on bare ground, they can really push their prey. At our annual MLK weekend hunt when it was below zero, they were a little slower but not slow. The genetics are there for the pups to do the same but with pups one never knows

        I sold a dog to a guy in Shelby Twp. I'm in Eaton Rapids Twp about an hour and a half away. I am retired also and I am free most days.

      Sorry to hear that. I would still be interested in a female if that breathing goes through. I mostly run Cottontail rabbits, do yours only run Snowshoe or do you run Cottontail also . what size are your beagles and what size would the pup grow up to be I'm looking for strictly a hunting dog no trial or showing.

        I run cottontail and snowshoe hare but mostly cottontail. My hounds around 15" but the femle I will be breeding is 14" and I will be breeding her to a 15" male. I do not trial or show.I just hunt with my hounds.

        Unfortunately the Bitch that I was going to breed developed cancer in her mamory glands and I could not breed her. I do have another female that I will be breeding this spring when she comes in.

    I grew up always having a beagle around the house. Started hunting rabbits when I was 12 and my love of beagle music grew from there. I have been raising my own beagles for 20 years now. I retired from General Motors in May of 2008 after 30 years.
