Hey Ralph! I usually don't fish tip ups. Do you guys tie a treble directly to a short piece of mono or do you use a wire leader? I thought about tying a stinger hook along with the treble. Quicker hook set time. What do ya think?

Guy I work with said by the channel bouy just into the lake whatever that means. I've never fished there. Not far out into the lake from what it sounds, but he said they've been moving more north chasing them.

Hi Ralph: My name is John Kolton I talked to you at the MS outing about perch fishing in a boat in August. I am going to go fishing tomorrow thurs. and I was wondering if you could give me a little help. I was thinking of going to quan. and fish off the shore but I have not fished there in about 40 years and I am not really sure where to go. I know how to get to quan. but I am not sure what side of the river to fish on or what roads to take. I am going to get there early I would appreciate any help you could give me. Also i was wondering if vets park might be better. ( I have never fished there but would be going by there on the way to quan. and could stop there. Thank You.

Not a problem, debate is good. I don't take anything on the net personal. Hope the perch keep coming back as they seem to be doing.
