      I've been hunting deer in St. Helen area for about 25 years. There was a group of us that stayed at Powers Lodge every year. Now I live up here( 13 years now) and I have more time to scout the area better. I am an Electrical contractor and due to the lack of work in Mi. it seems to give me more opertonitys to hunt. Swamps are tricky .Deer only use them to hide or bed down or travel through, so you might hunt a spot and see nothing for a long time and then that big one comes through your way. I got a nice thick eight last year and I never saw him in the years past. If you remember those three things you should do good.
