    Born and raised in West Michigan, I grew up hunting and fishing on family property in Osceola County. I graduated from the University of Michigan where I played baseball. I was drafted by the Minnesota Twins and played two seasons in the minor leagues.

    I am married with five children and work in the insurance industry.
