Good morning Jack. My wife and I recently discovered Chaga on a trip to Maine, never heard of it before. We would like to start looking for it around Tawas/Oscoda. Any tips or info that may help? Hope all is well with you, don't know how to contact Lisa. See probably has experience with it also. ALAN

(Sorry I was over my character limit so I finished here...)

I have always hunted morels, Shaggy manes and some of the easy to identify field Agaricus species. I am now getting into it all and am very passionate about it. It's just so damn fun, interesting, cool and tasty. Thanks for all that I've learned from your videos so far and any other knowledge your willing to spread.

Hey Jack, thanks for adding me to your friends list. I also follow you on Youtube.

In your "Craterellus and friends" video you show a tasty looking Soup. I have been finding some hens, Blewits and Boletus Edulis and would like to make a nice fall mushroom soup. Any advise on a type or style you like better with a shroom mix? I looked up several recipes and they do vary, I thought Id ask a pro for his advise or even recipe if I dare. :) I asked the same question in the "Stumpers" thread where you linked that video.

I have learned quite a bit from your videos and I love that your in Michigan too, although I am way south of you. I have been looking pretty hard for Trumpets in what everyone else describes as prime habitat, but can't come up with any. I also would love to find some of those Grayling's, do you know if they grow in Southern MI? I did think I found some honeys growing along small dead wood and they spore printed white, but I wasn't confident enough. In time....
