Paterson road was good. we went out in about 1/2" of ice but after you out by island it was fine. We only got one and 6 hits. I had one that pulled board down for about three minutes and then broke line. i run dd huskys but i heard the pink lemon aid reef runner was very good to. 2 week ago caught 33" musky. we were out by the crib last week. 1.4 for speed but i hears they pull them slower. c ya Jimbo

hope you didn't make the trip this weekend. It was another ugly day fri. No fish for me, and only a fish here and there for the rest of the boats. Gonna give it a few days for the water to clear. Expecting rain so that won't help. Might try further upstream too. Wyandotte area up to rouge river. Give ya an update when I hit the river.

I would definitely wait at least a week, two would be better. Handliners usually do good in cold and dirty water, and they are struggling to get fish in the boat. Low to mid 40's will turn the fish on. Average I have been hearing is 37-39 degrees. 42 downstream of the hot water discharge @ trenton edison plant. Save the gas, and long line close to home. I am taking the boat out Tue. morning. Give you an update then. George
