Ccongrats CD on a once in a lifetime hunt! I have had both hips replaced and feel 20 yrs younger. I took and handled one buck at camp in L' anse last week by myself and was worn out. I can't imagine handling 2 bucks in the same hunt. Great story! I'd love to see pics but understand if not. Don't let a few idiots ruin your success. Best of luck for a healthy 2023!

Hi, I wanted to say thanks for the info in the LBDN thread! I'm up here now and having a hard time getting on the walleye. We've been fishing south of the narrows, on the E side dropoffs in about 26' of water using 1oz inline.

We've been using the crawler harnesses in the same colors.

Any thoughts on what we can change up? Seems like the walleye bite has been slow lately.

    Thanks!
    Shawn

Alewife are in the Bays in numbers spawning now. I would pull cranks off boards over structure down off Breezy Point and the Ford River. There are somw arms off the Canyon on the west side down by Fox Park that will be holding fish. With the alewife in in numbers you have a big hill to climb...

/Dan, just back from duck hunt on St. Marys sinced last thrusday. No, I don't know his name but he used to hunt out of the family camp on land just north of the Friday Creek flooding east of Rock about four miles. If you have ON-X or similar software loaded you can get a last name He now hunts on land he owns about two miles east, nearer US-41

After reading the Jim Dexter thread, I would like to thank you for sharing insight on the Lake Michigan fishery. I'm impressed by your clarity, and thoughtful, objective observations. I'm an avid recreational big lake salmon fisherman, yet I've struggled to understand the politics and science of how the fishery is managed. I found your comments helpful in sorting out whats really going on in the lake. Regards,
