      An old friend of mine, Lynn Peden is one of the foremost product developers in the restoration industry. I believe he is in the PA area. His products should be available in the DC area. He will also advise you on the best product. Like I had mentioned, some of the stronger products, especially those designed for multi coat stripping and graffiti removal can leave a "shadow" effect on brick. I always start with a well dilluted, caustic degreaser and work up the scale.
