You are probably familiar with Rain-X windshield treatment that causes water to bead and run easily off of your windshield. A couple of years ago I discovered that they also make a windshield washer fluid. IT WORKS GREAT ! I use it in my vehicles YEAR 'ROUND ! In the summer, every time you use your washer fluid it puts a small amount of Rain-X on the windshield. After just a few squirts you'll notice a difference for sure. The water beads and runs right off ! In a lot of cases in light to even moderate rain you don't even need to use your wipers ! It's that good. But recently I discovered another advantage, it makes it MUCH easier to scrape your windshield when it's iced up. Even when it's extrememly cold and iced up, the ice releases from the glass MUCH eaier than on untreated windshields. I know because my wifes car has not had Rain-X in the resevoir but will shortly. About a week ago in nasty weather I had a heck of a time getting the ice off of her windshield, but my truck came clean in a breeze!

This is a good product, I use it all year long. It does what it says, It coats your glass so that rain beads off, In light to med. rain, wipers not needed.
