Sightron is a newer optics company. Though they have been making optics for other quality brand optics for a long time they have only recently (within the past 10 years) started producing their own line of scopes.

I own several different scopes from Burris Signature Series to Leupold's, but the brand that I own the most of is Sightron. The quality of the SII line of scopes easily rivals that of leupolds VXII scopes, and I actually prefer the sightrons. These scopes can be picked up for quite a bit less than leupolds as well. The warranty though I have never had to use it is remarkable. The sporting goods store that I have purchased several of my sightron scopes from told me if I ever have a problem with them just bring it in and they will give me a new one right over the counter. Talk about a fast turn around time, I am not sure if that is sightrons policy, or just that stores, but I was definatly impressed with it. I have both fixed power sightrons and variable power scopes on everything from my 12ga. shotgun to my .338 win mag. and I have never had a problem with any of them. So if you are in the market for a great scope at a very competitive price check out a sightron.
