Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Too small. Not the easiest to set up. Bad in the winter.

I have used 2 different lem loc on stands and I have since sold both of them. These stands are pretty easy to pack in, and not all that hard to set up, but there are easier setting stands on the market. The problems I have had with these stands are as follows: The seat is too close to the platform, I am 6 feet tall, and it was hard to stand up from the seat. The seat is very loud when wet, the cotton squeeks on the metal when you shift your weight, sit down, or stand up. The carpeted platform is quiet, but on one of my stands the carpet started peeling up after about 3 years. The solid platform is awful in the winter, holding snow, and then it melts and re-freezes in the carpet leaving you with a sheet of ice to stand on. If you are in the market for a good fixed position stand I would not recommend this one. It also is not very comfortable for those all day hunts.

Pros: Light weight
Cons: Noisy and Uncomfortable

I have to agree with buktruk on this. I have two of them and they become uncomfortable to sit in for longer than an hour. Loc-On must be aware of this because they offer optional seat. You have to climb in with caution. The Ice and snow build up on the carpeted platform can be slippery. The snow or ice is also noisy when you step on it. Lost the opportunity of a good shot because of that. I will say they are very light in weight but noisy to carry out. The chain somehow will always find the aluminum.

Pros: Lightweight and stable
Cons: Noisy to hang

This is a good solid stand that is great for packing in. I would not use it as a "bring in and out" stand, as hanging it can be very noisy. I like the stand for leaving for extended periods of time. The seat can be uncomfortable for long periods of time, but this is mostly due to keeping the weight down. They do offer optional seats.

Pros: solid yet lightweight, easy to hang.
Cons: ice & snow buildup

I've had these stands for many years I particularly like their solid folding side braces which provide great lower leg security while standing.Seat confort not great, but I rarely sit while on stand.I have 10 PSIII's, the larger model of the smaller LEM,as well. Solved chain noise long ago with DIP-IT.Carry a small brush to remove snow, and a zip-lok half full of urea for any ice on platform carpet.I don't think that LOC-ON is still in business.

Pros: Lite
Cons: Uncomfortable, ice build up

There are definatly better stands out there. This one is not very comfortable and the solid platform gets slippery in the winter.

Pros: light weight ,easy set up, quite, sturdy
Cons: little on the small side, uncomfortable

I love my lem owed it for about 6 years I dont know why others say its noisy? mabe its the version with the chain I have the rope strap maybe that the difference? I had not yet to hear a squeek. yes snow could build up onto it but that goes with all tree stands what I like about it is its not slippery because of carpet. It is uncomfortable but if your a true hunter comfort never pays off.

Pros: lightweight and durable
Cons: seat and noise

This was my very 1st treestand 20+ years ago and I still use it today. I highly recommend this stand as an "old faithful" part of your arsenal. I use a seperate tree seat in conjunction with this stand. I also put this stand up early and leave it up as it is rather noisey to get it out in the woods and hang.

Pros: light weight
Cons: seat

I have to agree with most.It is easy to pack in but the seat on mine ripped.I replaced it with a permanent seat made from wood.I had to drill a couple of holes but it works ok except now I cant fold the seat..

Pros: light wieght, small
Cons: seat is noisey, uncomfortable

I had mine stolen but really liked it, Because of its weight it was easy to carry in and set up fast. I would not want to hunt out of this for a all day hunt though to small and uncomfortable for that but its size is nice for setting up in a hurry I had the nylon rope on mine and liked it. very quiet
