Description: When it comes to knowing the gear required for hassle-free backcountry bowhunts, no one knows better than Dwight Schuh, one of America's leading bowhunting authorities. And since these versatile packs have been designed by Schuh, you know you can rely on them for superior hunting performance through even the most demanding conditions. Individual upper and middle pack bags are constructed from ultra-quiet, super-tough Stealth Fabric that's nylon lined for 100% waterproof protection; plus they have compression straps for securing bulky loads. The upper bag has integrated shoulder straps so you can use it as a separate high-capacity day pack, while the middle bag offers an integrated waist strap for use as a fanny pack. A virtually indestructible Enduroflex frame sports padded shoulder straps and a hip belt along with a mesh suspension system for increased comfort. You can use it to conveniently haul the entire pack system, or as a freighter frame for packing deer, elk or moose quarters. Packs also include a two-liter hydration reservoir.

With a 5-in-1 system that consists of an upper bag, middle bag, mesh pouch and Enduroflex frame, the Mega Pack offers 5,600 cubic inches of total capacity. Upper bag can be used as as separate day pack, and it has two side pockets and front pocket with advanced organizer. Middle bag has a front pocket to keep small items orderly, plus it can be carried separately as a fanny pack. A lower mesh pouch creates storage space perfect for extra clothing. The frame is 34" long.

Pros: Lots of space, pockets, flexibility,
Cons: Could use a few more places on the pack to tie stuff on like a sleeping pad

Well this really is a Mega Pack. Tons of space and tons of flexibility. The bigger pack on top has it's own integrated straps and can be completely taken off the frame for stand alone use. The smaller bottom pack can also be easily removed and used as a stand alone fanny pack. All adjustments are easily made by inserting or removing clips through the slats integrated in the plastic frame.

An expandable mesh bag can be deployed anywhere you find a place to clip it in to hold wet stuff or something bulky like a sleeping bag.

A really neat feature is the integrated light in the lower "fanny pack". The light turns on in a jiffy to help you find things in the dark, and turns itself off to prevent battery loss. Another neat feature is the middle pouch in the back of the main bag which has nice integrated pouches things such as a cell phone, two way radio, and a nice clip to hold your keys securely where you will remember them when you get back to your vehicle. An integrated hydration system holds plenty of water to tide you over between back country fill-ups.

The plastic frame is light and plenty flexible and seems bullet proof. Packs are waterproof and everything can be stripped off the pack to turn it into a "freighter" frame for packing out an animal.

In my field tests, the pack held heavy weights easily and well distributed. the shoulder straps and waist belt were adjustable enough to fit even my small frame. The load lifter straps help relieve the shoulders of some weight while making the pack very stable in rough territory.

All in all this is a great all around pack for both hunting and backpacking either done separately or combined.
