Cons:

eye covers are terrible

Very pleased with my purchase, good all around optic for the price. Eye covers don't fit and I had to johhy-rig something to cover them. Other than that small problem extremly happy with purchase.

Pros:

Nikon optics. Period.

Cons:

lost the front hinge capscrew; lens covers suck
The reason to purchase Nikon is the quality of their optics. Great. The Monarch bincoculars are no exception. However, after about a year of moderate use, the front hinge capscrew fell out. It must have fallen into my case and later fallen out - after putting a nick in one of the front objectives. I contacted Nikon CS and they eventually, after just a bit of cajoling, consented to replacing the nicked lens with a new one.
All in all an excellent value in field glasses in this price range.
