Description:

The HiViz Xcel Sight by North Pass Limited is a sight designed to eliminate the need for a peep. It consists of a rear reticle, which is made up of a cross of bright orange string. The front pin is a fiber optic pin, called a Litepipe. The Litepipe pin has a large light gathering optic area in the back of the pin, behind the users view. I chose to give the HiViz XCel sight a try, because I didn't like straining to aim through a peep at low light conditions.
Pros: Easy to see up to the end of legal shooting hours. Durable. No straining to look through a peep. Accurate once sighted in.
Cons: Adjustment is tricky, have to loosen bolts, etc. Nylon one doesn't lock down as tight as I would desire.
Suggestions: Would be nice to have reference marks on the molds in case sight gets bumped.
I don't have much experience with other sights, but I would recommend this. I've only hunted two seasons (this is my 2nd) and I was able to sight it in in one short session and eliminate my peep. I ordered direct from the manufacture, but I've seen them at Meijer's for less.
