Pros:
easy quick set-up, pop-up skis
Cons:
slightly heavy in rough snow despite the skis
i purchased this shelter last year from cabelas and have absolutely loved it. the head room is great to stand up and stretch out. fishing holes on opposite sides of the shanty really opens up elbow room. sets up so quick and easy. the only downside i have found is the weight, but with popup skis the sled pulls really well for its weight. this thing is really a "hilton" on the ice!!

it really took me a long time to decide on the 4000 but the added headroom and room to keep equipment in the shanty instead of outside really secured it for me now does the 3000 have the same head room or was it the shorter model i cant quite remember??? but both great shelters and you cant go wrong with shappell

I didn’t like the tarp feel
I took a good look at them and then decided on the other style…It had more of a cotton feel and I thought that it would hold up over the long run.

I've only had this shanty 2 years and only one zipper on doors work. The sewing around 1 door is pulling apart. If I un-zip one more time it's not going to zip up. It's to bad because, shopped around for a while and found this brand the best.

I love this shanty (3000), this replaced the model i had before with the plastic woven style covering. Only problem is my zippers are BOTH giving me problems. I have to set it up each time before i go out fishing to make sure its having a good day, and if its not i leave it and work on the zippers before i go out the next time... fix the zippers and it would be perfect for me!
