Description:

Footage. It's just not for guys with their own TV show anymore.

The Roscoby Riser Cam is designed to be your video assistant in the field, providing the hunter a purpose built, "hands-free" video camera for use in any environment. Totally silent and encased in a rugged rubber shell, the Rosoby Riser Cam is field-tested tough, capturing the thrill of the hunt from your perspective. The Cam mounts right into your bows stabilizer and is powered by two AA Lithium batteries. The Roscoby is a "line of sight" fixed focus video camera. Push one button and the Roscoby is On and push a second button and you are recording live action. At 30 frames per second it records fast enough to see your arrow in flight.

Pros: No moving parts, always on your target, fast enough to catch arrow in flight
Cons: Battery life may be an issue

I took my own independent video using this product on an indoor target range at 15 yards shown above. Using Lumenock arrow nocks is recommended by the manufacturer and really makes the arrow show up in flight. I used a Lumenock in this video.

I really enjoyed reviewing this product. It was easy to setup in the hole for a stabilizer on the bow. The bow I tested it with was a Bowtech Guardian which is a real smooth shooter. You do have to remember not to drop your bow immediately after the shot as in classic archery form.

The camera turns on with one push of a button and is in standby. Push another button and you are "live". Wherever you point your bow is where the camera will be aimed.

Both waterproof and shockproof in a rubberized and o-ring protected case, I can't wait to use this camera to film by exploits this fall. My hunting buddies will no I'm not lying now

Pros:
Cons:

I picked up one of theses at the at the Woods-N-Water News weekend Expo for a pretty good price (Better'n Cabelas) I had never seen something like this before, and I'm anxious to try it out - Because it's coated in rubber, I'm scheming how to affix it to the side of my 7MM Rem Mauser by the scope for a little gun action too....I'll post my tests as It progresses
