I used the fixed three blade type and killed a doe at 25yds. Great blood trail. The broad head was not reusable, even if I replaced the blades. They also will be destroyed if you try to target shoot with them. The whole body bends after impact.

KoneZone's HeatZone is a great hand warmer for the outdoor enthusiast. It's strengths are the innovative magnetic closure ends that seal out cold when the hands are removed, it's nice pre-made pockets for enough chemical hand warmers for even the coldest day, and it's full length opening along the entire bottom of the product for easy loading of chemical hand warmers and for cleaning. This product would serve the waterfowl hunter, fisherman, or ice fisherman very well. It also served well as a hand warmer for deer hunting, although the pattern and exterior material was a bit noisy in the pattern we reviewed, there are quieter and better camo patterns available from KoneZone for the serious deer hunter.

Don't waste your money. Everything looks red under the light. You have to know where the blood is for the light to work. Used it on one blood trail and will never use again. Stick with your flashlights.

I had the 2006 model I believe... many problems with this rest. 1. Teflon bunched up inside the rest, and had to wait 3 days to get replacement in the mail (very good customer service though). 2. Loud Chink noise from the launcher arm dropping. 3. I was never able to achieve perfect fletching clearance even after hours of adjusting. I always found white residue from my fletchings on the launcher arm. On a more positive note, I got fantastic arrow flight from this rest, and was shooting bullet holes through paper (even with the minor fletching contact). Laslty, After adjusting and taking this rest apart countless times, a few screws are stripped, and I do not feel comfortible using it anymore. If someone would like to come pick it up, you may have it for parts or even to use on your bow ( I believe it is still in working order). Just PM.

These broadheads flew very accurately for me. Shot a mature buck through the ribs and into the opposite shoulder, and did not get a pass-through (100 grain head, Bowtech Tomkat @ 70#, Maxima 350 arrow). However the deer only traveled about 25yds before crashing. I believe that these heads are only good for one shot though. Each time I have hit a deer (or the dirt) the tip is bent and even using the G5 sharpener I was not able to get a good edge back. In that respect I feel these broadheads end up being pretty expensive. Other than that, I love the design and am happy with them.

I have the most current model of this broadhead (I think they have made changes twice now) I do not like the way the blades are held closed. I had suspicion that they opened from the force of the shot, so I shot the broadhead through a piece of tissue paper. I found that one of the blades had opened from the force of the shot, however there was still no noticeable difference in accuracy even at 40 yds.

I have the yellow one and it works awesome. It seems like you brush forever and you still get loose fur.

Who rates a product they have not actually tried? I have killed several deer with the Razor Ring broadheads. I got pass-through kills and I only shoot at 58 pounds. This broadhead leaves a punched out hole that does not clot up and stop external bleeding. On one of the deer I killed there was about a third of a circle neatly cut out of a rib that it punched through. On my first kill with a razor ring I thought it looked like a gun wound and wondered what the procsessor would think because it was early October.
