Comment – One of the most effective flies to use for steelhead during the spawn. Seems to be everyone’s favorite steelhead/salmon pattern, originating in Alaska for carnivorous rainbows. Great for bedding fish. Go down to the Tippy and look in everyone’s fly box – the Egg Sucking Leech will be one of the most popular. The uglier the better. Thanks to Rickey Drager and Robert Kovich for these flies.
