Dave’s Hopper Fly Pattern
Hook – TMC 5212 dry fly hook
Size – #6 or #8
Thread – brown 6/0
Tail - red deer hair or saddle hackle barbs
Body – yellow sparkle yarn
Wing - turkey tail feather
Hackle – brown saddle trimmed tight to body
Head – deer hair spun and clipped to shape, leaving collar
Legs – knotted pheasant tail
