Long Lake near Traverse City Michigan provides
the opportunity to catch many species of fish. Walleye, Bass, Perch, and Northern
Pike are among the fish that can be caught. Probably the most exciting is the
Walleye. The increased Walleye size limits seems to have increased the number of
fish to be caught, although many are not keeper size.
There are two public boat ramps on the lake so access is not limited to those with
property on the lake. In general the drop offs at around 15' of water is the best
spot to find walleye.
