Default Thinking of buying the cabelas PL-1 Any thoughts?

I have been looking at this bow for a while and now that the PL-1.5 is out they have lowered the price of the Pl-1 Kit to $499. Has anyone ever shot this bow? What are your thoughts? Also I have been looking at the Fred Bear TRX. Any thoughts about it? I will use the bow for hunting. Thanks.

The PL-1.5 looks very similar to an AR or high end PSE. Sounds like a pretty good price too...but.

You can get just as good a bow for the same price by going to a local pro shop. I'm leery of things at Cabela's that WILL eventually need maitanance (like a bow). Don't get me wrong, I love Cabela's, but I'll give as much business to the local Joe trying to make a living as I can and use Cabela's for the "no one else carries it" stuff.

If you don't work on your own equipment I'd find a shop that yopu trust and go that route. You'll have hard time finding anyone that can get parts for it other than Cabela's and while they have an Excellent return policy, the're not known for their bow pro shop technicians if you know what I mean

I have a TRX its a big improvment from the pse nova but i wouldnt suggest you purchase one. I have had some problems with my "shock stop" and the noise it makes. My friend has a pse fire flight and that is a sweet little bow. You might want to look into that.
