Vertical sight pins?
NE1 have these? Do you like it or not, (compared to horizontal pins)?

Picked up a new sight last year with a single vertical pin and like it so far!

They're nice because they open up the sight picture much better than a horizontal 3 pin. I have trouble finding anything other than the top pin though. Shooting a single pin too long I guess. Those that have them generally really like them though.

I use a 3 pin site. The top pin is setup for hunting (20yds) and the other 2 are setup for target shooting at 35yds. and 50yds. I chose this site over the single pin vertical because it is a lighted site and it offered the different pins.
I'm planning on setting my bow up for carbons next year at which time I may switch to a single pin (possibly vertical) site. I like the lighted pins because it allows me to target practice well after the sun has set if I get home from work later.

just like everything else there are advantages and disadvantages. i put one on my bow last year for about two weeks then took it off. i didn't care for the fact it blockes your judgement of how high on the deer you are, when using more then one pin. i always go from the bottom up on a target. what can i say i'm polish. the advantage is you know where you are left to right on a target. me personally i would rather make sure of the elevation and take my chances with being a inch or two back or forward on a deer. a lot of it is just something new to get used to. my motto, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I used to have the single vertical pin, but switched when I missed a deer that was only 15 feet away from my tree and I was up 25 feet to bottom of treestand. I broke the guard off the cobra sight I have now and then two of the three pins. I hunt hard and usually go through some thick stuff. I'm leaning towards sticking with the horizontal pins. Thanks for the replies.
