Default fred bear Trx bow

I shot my bow with infront of some people yesterday and they said it sounded like a cannon, I think most of the noise is coming from the "shock stop" and was wondering if anyone else had this problem or knew how to fix it

Can the shock stop be adjusted? Maybe the string is hitting it to soon with to much force? I've never shot one of these models but the ones I have heard at the range were fairly loud to begin with, but that could have been due to owners choices in accessories and set up as well.
What kind of accessories are you using and are you using anything form Sims or similiar products? What kind of arrow weight/draw weight are we taking here?
