I'm getting a new bow.......

with the wife's permision too It's a Hoyt Cyber Tec, last years cam and a half model.

I think I want to shoot carbons. It wil be set at 70#s, and I will shoot the
heaviest ones available. Who makes a good arrow and what should I look for I will probably shoot NAP rotating 125s.

Speed does not impress me and I think the heavier arrows will be more consistant and easier to work with.

I myself have a Hoyt Cyber Tec, but its the year earlier model.

I too am shooting a very heavy arrow--heading out for elk in September and penetration is way more important than speed.

I'm shooting Carbon Express arrows with a 125 grain tip (total arrow weight around 400-425 I believe) and I have tremendous accuracy out to 60 yards.

You can do a lot better with broadhead choice...I'd look for something that's either has a steel or aluminum ferrul...the broadhead is the most important part of your setup as it does the business so to speak. If you want a heavy arrow look at the Carbon Express Terminator Select 6595. Key word with those arrows are 'select'. Make sure that shaft says 'select' on it. But these arrows are heavier than most aluminums at 12gpi. Most important thing is to make sure you get the proper draw length. Speed is squat, you want accuracy and forgiveness and these arrows will give that to you as long as the bow is tuned. Congrats on the future purchase and on a fine bow to boot.

I have the Hoyt Razortec and I shoot the 340 ICS Hunter arrows. They are a little cheaper and they do the job!!
