Mathews SQ2
I need help from someone that owns a SQ2 or has access to one. Please look at your bow, and tell me which way the cable guide slide is mounted on the 3/8" rod. The guide is wedge shaped, is the high side toward the shooter or is it away from the shooter?

Looks like it's facing the shooters arm.

Let me ask the question in a different way, here is a drawing of the guide, viewing it from the top, you can see it it wedge shaped, I need to know, which direction it is suppose to go. High side toward the shooter, or high side toward the grip. Depending on how it is mounted the cables/string, touch slightly where they cross, or are about 1/8" apart. I haven't found a picture, of a SQ2 from the top down, always saw pictures of the bow laying on it's side, you can't tell how the guide is mounted in a side view. This problem all started after I took my bow to an archery shop to have the cables and string changed. This week when I got the bow out, I noticed the archey shop had the cable slide on in such a way that the string and cable crossed, above the 3/8" cable guide rod. It sould cross below the rod. I changed it, so it now crossed below the rod. I just need to know which direction the wedge is suppose to be facing.

Trushot_Archer,
Yes I did. Thanks again for the web site address of that other forum. Someone from that other site, owned a SQ2 and was able to answer my question. I guess no one on this site owns a Mathews SQ2, other than myself. Apperently, few SQ2's were sold, as even the support tech, on the Mathews web site couldn't answer my question. Thanks again for your help

I just got my Mathews bow back, from another string and cable change. This time I took it to a different archery shop. It now sounds and shoots like it did when I bought it in 2002. The shop did a great job. I highly recommend Country Woods Archery, south of St. Johns.
