Thumbs Up

If you folks want to get some great perch head for Lk. Simcoe. Caught limits in 35' on jigs tipped with spikes lots of ice and the lake is safe for cars & trucks. Trust me their everywhere, at least 2' of ice fish the Virginia beach area out past the island or try in the bay some fish were getting hit there also but small. Expect fish to be in the 12/14in class out deep. planning on going back this week. Good Luck

I have friends who make several visits there each winter. They rent a home and stay for a week at a time. They have shown me pictures of huge perch.

Just curious Wayne, whats the limit on Simcoe? We fish Rice Lake in the summmer and there is no limit on panfish. Well,at least not yet.

Capain Wayne, Where do you stay when you go to Simcoe? I heard they got rid of the three day conservation license. Are the license there good for all year 2000 or do they expire in March like we have here in Mich. What was the price? I was staying in Newmarket and fishing the bay around Barrie. The fish did run a little smaller 9-12" but we could walk out there.
