Question

Bass anglers have a different rod for each style of presentation they use. What about for Walleye fishing.

Walleye anglers jig, cast crank baits, cast weight forward lures, troll ect.

What type of rod should be used for each of the styles of Walleye fishing?

Fish

I never really got into using different rod types for different types of Walleye fishing. Generally I go with the same "horse" all the time. I'm sure there are big differnces in rod types though.

Question

If you are ever fishing the St.Clair River I would use a med. action 7' for night casting mister twisters,a 6' med. action for drift fishing in daytime,a heavy action for night fishing plugs. We use rods from noodle to pool cue,you just have to match the rod to the conditions.
